Project Teams looking for Developers!
Hi brilliant Evernote devs!
Let's use this thread to post team projects that have a solid idea and are looking for a technical partner to work on it together. A great idea with a solid designer and/or a good coder makes for a potential winning team!

Here is a great idea worth teaming up on:
"A resume for kids: a way to track accomplishments and special milestones. Not only for reference but ultimately a self-esteem booster for the child AND the parents. I need a developer for this idea I have been so passionate about for years...help!"
Reach out to Laarni at laarnis@yahoo.com for more info!

I am looking to work with a few devs on a health & medical repository using evernote:
1. literature, articles other for health professionals (I already know hundreds of MD's that already do this but its not organized well for this)
2. for patients store an xray image, an article, a comment from a doctor visit, a image, a voice file, web MD articles, share with family members etc..
3. of course healthcare is big and there is more.
I have healthtrunk.com for this purpose and would love to find developers that think its a good idea.
I would team up with you and then monetize your development through the health industry and do rev share.
Big opportunity. email orthoblaino@gmail.com or call
cheers, Blaine Warkentine MD MPH 484 938 8104

I have an idea to help small businesses communicate with their customers, and bosses make sure things don't slip threw the cracks. Just need a team.

MUSIC CURATOR
Value propositions ->
-Your personal online music collection, backed up and stored in one place
-An interactive mosaic to represent your music listening identity
-Your very own music universe, made to serve your musical needs
Features ->
-Add song albums and artists to the Library
-Added option to scan your machine's music library to add them too
-Maintains all metadata : album art, genres, popularity, etc using available APIs
-Browse your music library by artists, albums, tempo, genre, composers, or any other user-defined tags
-connects to Grooveshark / Spotify / Last.fm API to keep track of what you listen to online, and add albums or artists to your collection in real-time
-Connects to one of the many music streaming services online, for quick-play of a particular song
-Could contain links to buy the music tracks as well
-If the app catches on with people, a music recommendation system could also be constructed, which uses the large usage data to help users discover new songs to add to his collection
Implementation -> HTML5 web app
If you like the idea and are technically equipped for it, join me in creating something new using the Evernote API

Hi Chris,
I have tried getting in touch with a developer of Evernote and someone at Evernote through multiple forums - twitter/facebook/linkedIn etc. I am very confident that I have a powerful idea that will really benefit all Evernote users.

@Rajat A - Great to hear you thinking of awesome ideas, that is definitely the first place to start! Since Evernote employees are barred from building apps for the Devcup, you will need to reach out to general developer communities. Find a developer who shares your enthusiasm and build a great app! Best wishes.
@laarni - that is great news, I'll tell the team that you may indeed submit a killer app ;) See you soon
@Everyone else -- Love the projects you have in mind -- you have 3 weeks left!!!

Hi Chris,
I thought this was the place to reach out to Evernote developers. However, I think my idea will be more valuable if Evernote develops it as a native feature. I don't intend to participate in the devcup, but as an avid user and admirer of Evernote, I just want to put forth my idea to the right person at Evernote.
Chris Traganos Manager • almost 14 years ago
@Rajat A -- sorry for the confusion, this site is for the Evernote Developer competition. You can go to our general user forums and write up an idea or feature request for Evernote here: http://discussion.evernote.com/
Glad to hear you are an avid user, it is an honor! Best of luck with the idea, it would be incredible to have a working version that you could demo to users.

@Chirs - As I am unable to find any developers, I thought it's best to just share the idea directly with Evernote.

Hello Evernote developers, I'm a student at stanford looking for a developer(s) to collaborate with for a final project. My project involves music and literacy skills, and Evernote's API is a perfect solution to the problem. If you are interested, and have time for a good 6 weeks (or longer) to collaborate with me, please contact me.
@Chris, can we post topics not related to the devcup in this board?

Hi Chris & Evernote developers....I have been working on an app idea to help improve the Env, Health & Safety industry. One of the key requirements of the app is to have functionality similar Evernote's. However, I just came to know of this contest and that Evernote allowed apps to be developed on their platform. I am looking for a developer who would be interested in partnering with my team to create this industry changing app, even if it is not entered in to the contest. Thanks Chris, for creating this forum for non-developer's like myself!

Great to hear -- a few developers have posted their email on this thread and other threads in this discussion section of the Devcup site. You can also tweet @evernote_dev and we will point people to you. EH&S is a huge opportunity for logging and note creation, especially in higher ed and industrial settings -- you have a lot of potential in this space!

Thanks Chris! I have sent out a tweet. Will look to track down some email ids of developers from this discussion. Yes, I am very executed about getting this off the ground as there is a lot of potential.

@developers...ideally I would like to partner with a developer familiar with the Evernote platform. Current team comprises of myself and a programmer who is learning the ropes for iOS development. Open to discussing the concepts and exploring how we can use the amazing Evernote platform to support this industry.
